Monitoring posture: why it is essential to do so.

So many are the parameters of our body that we monitor periodically to ensure a good quality of life. Often, however, we do not give due importance to what, before any other aspect, manifests probable discomfort: posture.

Postural screening: a useful examination for everyone.

A postural examination is the first step in a physiotherapy course useful for restoring the body's balance and harmonies. It also makes it possible to anticipate the diagnosis of many pathologies of the human body.

For children and young people of developmental age, knowing and monitoring one's postural posture is essential to preventing annoying conditions, the effects of which can manifest themselves not only at the physical level, in the form of early and annoying back pain, but can also affect the ability to learn.

Radiography: a harmful examination that does not allow prevention.

To date, the specific examination most frequently used to analyze our skeleton and monitor postural changes has been TOTAL BODY RADIOGRAPHY, but this has the huge problem of being NOCTIVE.

Chest X-ray carries an additional lifetime risk of developing a fatal cancer of 1 in a million, while for a single Computed Tomography (CT) scan of the skull it rises to 1 in 10,000, and if the same exam is done on the abdomen the additional risk is 1 in 2,000.
For a single nuclear medicine exam such as scintigraphy, then, the risk rises to 1 in 500.

bhohb postural screening

BHOHB: postural screening inspired by prevention.

A real alternative to radiography.
This being so, it is evident how each of us would never subject our children to a TOTAL BODY X-ray, unless we are forced to by necessity.
Consequently, for diseases of the musculoskeletal system, NO PREVENTION IS TAKEN, but action is taken only when the problem has already manifested itself.

Today at last, after major investments in research, we have BHOHB, a non-invasive and non-harmful tool that allows us to do prevention and Total Body analysis, reconstructing our skeleton in 3D, without resorting to X-Rays.
